It’s no secret that we invest a lot of time and training into our agents here at The Real Estate Group, and one of the best classes of the year is our Goal Setting class taught in October. We consider the fourth quarter of the year to be somewhat of our agents’ New Year, and whether you’re a buyer or a seller there are measurable benefits.
For example, looking to sell your home towards the end of the year? Having the right negotiating skills to properly handle your equity is crucial. Maybe you’re looking to buy? The opportunities don’t usually just jump off the page; it takes a REALTOR ® who is more knowledgeable about real estate trends to analyze the market and better counsel you on the right time to buy.
To really help our agents kick off “New Year’s” on the right foot, TREG’s Training Director Steven Edwards is prepared with ideas, stats, and a healthy dose of motivation. The class is packed with agents, and even the most seasoned and high producing REALTORS ® are in attendance.
There are two key ingredients that make this class successful and so well attended -
Steven. Imagine a person with over 30 years of experience, a passion for business growth and personal development, and a whole lot of energy. Add in an extra dash of enthusiasm for the market and you have an idea of what Steven is like in real life.
The agents. Though their backgrounds differ and their experience ranges across the board, everyone comes in with an open mind, they are transparent with their goals and ideas, and they really participate. The questions asked tend to be really thoughtful and come from a place of wanting to learn and do better, and the whole room offers constructive ideas or suggestions in response.
This advice and experience that is shared amongst the agents is the secret sauce that makes the energy in the room delicious. Throughout the class, Steven does a fantastic job bringing the group discussions all back to the main goal: setting the team up for success and ready to dominate the upcoming year. The agents leave feeling inspired and ready to take action, and more importantly, they have the tools in hand to make the dream a reality.
