This has been one of the main questions that have been asked to The Real Estate Group (TREG) Associates in the past few days. One of the things that we want to assure you is, YES, you can list and sell during this time! Our agents are trained to market your home and will use every method needed to get it exposure.
That said, things are changing constantly and there are considerations you may need to take into account. Here are some examples: People looking to buy right now likely have the immediate need for a new home. Some areas of the market that were very inventory constrained may now have an influx of buyers, and on the contrary, some areas may be slower. Some questions you may want to consider could be: Is your home ready for the market? What are the things you need to do to sell your home for maximum return? Are other competing homes staying off of the market now, making yours the ideal choice?
How will you show my home? Can I do an Open House? My home is vacant, what then?
The answers to your real estate questions are not always universal, they could vary because of your unique individual situation. It might even include showing your home virtually so that we can limit the number of people in your home to the bare minimum. To ease all your concerns, we’ll provide you with the latest, most accurate information we can get our hands on. Amidst the challenging times, having the right information gives you the confidence you need to make informed decisions.
How will you show my home?
We have a variety of ways that we can show your home. We can even provide virtual showings to minimize the traffic into your home and make sure that you are comfortable with the process. Let's talk about your options. The key here is that you do have options!
Can I do an open house?
Yes, but there are going to be some restrictions. We are following closely the guidelines from the CDC and will be happy to share with you what can be done and what shouldn't. Again thanks to technology, in SOME cases we can do virtual open houses. And in some cases it is not recommended. At this time, it is important that we talk about it and discuss the latest information available.
My home is vacant, what then?
If your home is vacant, then there are obviously even less worries about showings and etc. But we will still be following the guidelines of the CDC and limiting the people in your home to a minimum. Virtual tours and virtual open houses can be an effective tool in doing that. Our goal is to inform you of the options and guide you to a decision that you are comfortable with.
You need accurate and timely information.
The key is to KNOW the market, get up to the minute information and work with experienced real estate professionals. Marketing options that worked well and were ideal just two weeks ago are obsolete now. They have been replaced by much better ways to provide your home with market exposure given the changes in the market.
Title companies, mortgage companies, inspectors, and many other third parties that sellers and buyers rely on to get their homes bought or sold in a timely manner have all changed their operations due to the virus. The need for accuracy and experience has never been greater.
You are making important decisions with typically the biggest investment you will make. We understand that and are here to provide you with trusted guidance through the process. We are working with all of these affiliated providers to make the process as smooth and efficient as possible.
