Locals and new transplants to the area all come to know and love the yearly Neptune Festival at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Every summer we welcome countless tourists and their families to the beautiful beachfront to enjoy the sand and water, the fun activities, and the food and entertainment. But when summer is over, the locals have a festival all their own to “take back” the beach. And in that spirit, the Neptune Festival was born.

One of the most iconic (and loudest!) events in Hampton Roads is the NAS Oceana Air Show. The event is this weekend, and it is one you don’t want to miss. Join almost 300,000 visitors from around Hampton Roads and the world at what many consider the “largest open house of the US Navy.”

This year NAS Oceana Air Show is also celebrating a special partnership with Virginia Beach City Public Schools in creating a large outdoor STEM Laboratory for an immersive experience that puts students in contact with full emersion science, tech, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) displays.

This Saturday and Sunday NAS Oceana will be loud and proud starting around 10 am with demonstrations, parachute jumps, and planes both cutting edge and classic. The
