This week we had the opportunity to deliver over 20 boxes of school supplies to the beneficiaries of our 2016 School Supply Drive, which we hosted with our co-sponsor Southern Bank. We had a phenomenal collection this year and ended up gathering almost $4,000 worth of supplies!

We dropped off supplies at Project Hope for Virginia Beach City Public Schools and Commonwealth ChalleNGe. Project Hope provides services to children across the city who are without homes. Commonwealth ChalleNGe is a National Guard program that helps kids from all over our Hampton Roads community find the right path to success.

Sunscreen Tips

Nothing is worse than a sunburn. Looking like a lobster, cringing when people touch you, and wallowing in misery after a perfect day at the beach just isn’t worth it!

The CDC recommends that everyone wear SPF 15 or higher. Make sure the sunscreen you use offers UVA and UVB protection. Reapply every two hours or after swimming or doing anything that makes you sweat a lot.
