With the start of the school year right around the corner, many parents feel the need to make some changes, or possibly revert to a far away time in the departments of organization, tidiness and scheduling.  As a stay at home mom, I had a lot more control over the "school year system" in that we had a designated area for backpacks, school approved shoes, flash cards, etc.  My girls had a clear understanding of where and where not homework could be completed and snacks could be eaten, not to mention when they could turn on the television. 

Well, when I returned to the work force two years ago, our so called schedule suddenly morphed into some unknown, less than desirable, fly by the seat of our pants and hope that it all gets done system that changes

The two largest sites in the home listings game, Zillow and Trulia are merging.   Together they account for about 48% (excluding local websites) of listings web traffic. 

The major concerns most consumers have had with both listing sites is the accuracy of listing information.  "Neither company has access to the large sample of multiple listing service (MLS) data that members of the National Association of REALTORS® are privy to".  Each site relies on a mishmash of MLS listings, third-party services and individual brokerages for their listing information. 

This merger will not make listing information any more reliable than it already was, and is merely  a simple market share grab. This shouldn't be a surprise as data only needs to be accurate

The start of school is less than a month away and many local parents will either be sad to see their kids go or dancing in the streets as the bus turns the corner.  The start of school is bittersweet for parents and children as well.  Not only does it mark the end of summer, but the beginning of homework, and school lunches and progress reports and PTA meetings.
