I am married to my first wife Jill and I have two daughters Rachel and Joanne, and my grandson Ryder. My wife Jill has been teaching in Virginia Beach since 1984. She is a well known as the P.E. teacher at Linkhorn Park elementary.
My real estate career over that last 33 years includes not only residential sales, I have done new construction ,commercial, REO bank owned, short sales, 1031 tax exchange, investment properties, relocation, corporate relocation, rehab properties, high end homes, first timers and redevelopment to name a few. My favorite area is working with sellers and folks that have had trouble selling their homes. Many of the buyers I work with today are the sons and daughters of my very first clients.
It has been said that my strongest skills come into play when a problem comes up. My tenaciousness and ability to attack challenges in a calm and professional manner eases the stress on all parties. If you think every transaction is smooth and easy, guess again. The point is, I am experienced and prepared to take on all issues.
I am a licensed real estate instructor and have been teaching the licensing class at TCC one night a week for the last 10 years. Believe me...it keeps me on my toes in an ever changing real estate world.
Last thing. I am a competitive BBQ cook. I competed for five years with my good friend Neil Bennett on the KCBS circuit. We won a little, lost a lot and learned from some of the best cooks from around the country. Now my BBQ cooking is mainly reserved for back yard cookouts and my real estate clients as a post closing gift. :) I also have fruit baskets for my veggie clients.
