About the Naval Medical Center
The hospital also offers the Operational Forces Medical Liaison Services (OFMLS) “Service to the Fleet”. The OFMLS was established to provide direct communication between the Naval Medical Center and the Operational Forces. The services OFMLS provides includes; assisting in scheduling appointments for operational commands within their deployment schedule, tracking all active duty personal admitted to civilian hospitals and keep parent commands informed of the member's status. Conduct visits to the fleet to provide information about the services that OFMLS can provide while underway, provide updated information on patients MEDVAC'd to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and provide morning reports on admission and disposition status of fleet personnel admitted to the facility.
