38th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival - September 30, 2011 - October 2, 2011
The 38th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival is September 30, 2011 - October 2, 2011 at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.
If you are new to the area or just visiting, the Neptune Festival is always the last weekend of September and includes a wide variety of activities for the entire family. Approximately 30 blocks of the boardwalk are filled with various events that you won't want to miss.
The most popular event that you should definitely try to attend is the North American Sand Sculpting Championship. These are not your average sand castles being built! These one-of-a-kind creations are gigantic and created by master sculptors from around the world!
That's not all, there are many other things to try and attend this weekend while down at the boardwalk! Some include the
Neptune Arts & Craft show (with over 300 exhibitors selling hand made items!), a Volleyball Tournament, the Surfing Classic, Neptune's 8k & 5k, Neptune's Atlantic Regatta, the Neptune Festival Grand Parade, fireworks, lots of great food and the Neptune Heroes Final Toast.
Please comment and let us know what your favorite part of the Neptune Festival is!
